Successful Learning Educational Services assessment needs are growing! We are frequently referring to others to provide clinical diagnosis for dyslexia. The families may need a diagnosis for college entrance, support in their particular school district, may be an adult who suspects they have dyslexia and need support in their work environment, or they may just want a formal diagnosis.
Additional assessment for AD/HD and anxiety related issues are often needed.
We are looking for a qualified clinician who is able to provide in-depth cognitive and achievement assessments and is able to link the results to learning disabilities when appropriate. The clinician should have a good understanding of dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, and be willing to use those terms as appropriate. Well-written reports that parents, as well as school personnel, can understand is essential. In addition, the clinician must be willing to dialogue about findings and next steps for the student with owner, Cheryl Anthony, MS Ed., and present findings to parents.
This position is as-needed, but with a strong ability to assess and communicate findings, the potential to work into more hours is very real.
