Topic: Dysgraphia. Handwriting instruction is a topic that is often debated or even ignored in educational settings. Does handwriting proficiency really matter?
What causes struggles with writing proficiency? Should we focus on writing instruction now that technology is so prevalent? What elements of handwriting cause difficulty and what can be done to remediate inefficient penmanship? What can I do tomorrow to help? What are the differences between O-G penmanship instruction and Handwriting Without Tears? Which curriculum should I use? This talk is directed to parents, early education and classroom teachers, principals and specialists.
